Our Rescue Dogs in Their Forever Homes!

All of these dogs were once abandoned, unwanted, given up, etc. Now they have a new life with new families who will forever love and take care of them never to be abandoned again!

Bogart

This big guy was found as a stray wondering the city streets, starving. He was taken to the local kennel and only had days left to find a rescue, foster, or forever home before being killed. A woman came and saw him and fell in love! We offered to rescue Bogart if this woman would foster him and she agreed. Of course, because it was love at first sight, this woman decided just a few days after taking Bogart in that she needed to adopt him. YAY for Bogart! He now has a new family.

Latte nka Lottie

Hi there. I thought you would like an update on Latte or as we call her Lottie. We adopted her in May 2010. She is doing great! Very healthy according to the vet and active. She is going off leash at the barn which I really thought she would never be able to. We have been able to call her off of anything she has started to pursue including dogs, deer and yes a wild turkey. She picked up what we call safety commands around the horses, "away" means to move on and walk in front of the horse that is being led. Her stay is very good now and she knows to stay out of the paddocks. Car rides are her favorite and travels very well in "her" seat (no driver lap ridding here). She has traveled to VA several times to see family and has been excellent on all the trips. We try not to leave her often but had to this summer when our son was redeployed home from Afgan. Our other son watched her for us and said she was miserable so needless to say she travels with us as often as we can take her. She is a talker and lets us know when she feels she is not getting enough attention, it use to bother me until I discovered it bothers the crap out of my brother-in-law, now I just let her finish the story she is telling us. She has a lot of odd little quirks but we have learned to work around them in a positive way. I am sure the good Lord gave her to us because he knew we would deal with them and teach me even more patience. Hubby is showing interest in adopting again so she may be getting a sister sometime in the next year. Thank you again for sending her our way. Dawn and Jim

Tommy

Mr. Tommy was only days away from being euthanized when we were notified he needed our help. How could we say no to a face like that?! At the time we were full but at the last minute a dear friend in rescue stepped up to foster him for us. Thanks Judy!!

Tommy is your typical happy go lucky Jack Russell Terrier mix. He loves to play, run, snuggle, eat, and has energy to run a city of lights! LOL

Lindsay saw Tommy and fell in love instantly! When they met it was like they were friends forever already. But Lindsay was in the process of moving and decided to wait on adopting him until after her move. No proglem! We knew this was a perfect match so we held onto Tommy until Lindsay was moved in, unpacked, and ready.

As you can see, BOTH are all moved in and enjoying each other's company. This is Lindsay's first dog and she couldn't have picked a better one. Way to go Tommy and Lindsay!!
