These dogs are waiting for forever homes!

All of these dogs are currently in foster homes and waiting for their forever homes. Please read their bios to learn about them to see if they fit your family lifestyle and schedule. Please don't go by looks alone, each dog has their own personality and needs. If you find a dog you'd like more information about or would like to meet, please send us an email or fill out our adoption application. The application is a Word document which you will need to fill out, save, and then email to us. We screen all families thoroughly to make sure our dog is a match and won't be returned to us.

Thank you for considering adopting a rescue dog!

I'm NATHAN
Rat Terrier

ADOPTED!!!!

Nathan is a very friendly, sweet little guy who loves attention! He came from a pound that was so crowded he was going to be put to sleep to make room for more dogs coming in. We could not let that happen!

Nathan learned his name in just a couple days. He's very smart. He's great around people, kids, and other dogs. However, he does not like cats and will bark at them and get in their face.

Nathan is housebroken and crate trained. However, sometimes he goes outside to the bathroom when his foster mom wakes up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom as well.

Nathan loves to sleep in bed with his foster mom and often times snuggles under the covers down by her feet. He is very generous with his kisses and loves to be petted.

Nathan is an all around GREAT little guy patiently waiting for his forever home. Is that you?

Nathan is being fostered in Euclid, OH.

I'm ANNIE
Maltese

ADOPTED!!!

Little Annie is a victim of living in a puppymill her whole life. Thankfully we were able to save her and get her out of a terrible place. She came to us smelly, dirty, matted, and very, very, very scared.

It's taken Annie many months to learn to trust her foster mom. She still does not trust men or boys no matter how many treats they offer her. She was abused by men and that memory will never leave her.

We're hoping to find a single woman with a HUGE heart and LOTS of patience to adopt Annie. We know in the right home she will thrive. She may never become a happy go lucky bouncy doggie most people associate with this breed but at least we know Annie will never know the horrors of a puppymill again.

Will you be Annie's new mama???

Annie is being fostered in Newton Falls, Ohio.

I'm CHALUPA

Chihuahua mix

Hello, my name is Chalupa. I was found wandering by myself on a busy street in the city of Mentor. A kind lady took me into her home even though I growled and tried to bite her. I was just scared and defending myself. Once I realized she was kind and loving I also became loving and snuggly with her. I thought she was my new mama but she couldn't keep me. She loved me enough right away to contact a rescue and turn me over so they could find a wonderful forever home for me.

I was very confused and tried to bite the rescue lady. She understood I wasn't trying to hurt her but only defending myself and took me into her home anyway. I immediately saw that she loved animals because there were other dogs in the home for me to hang out with. But, you see, I love to roam around and so I climb fences to get out and explore. My mama had to bail me out of doggie jail once (dog pound) because I climbed her fence and took myself for a walk and the dog catcher got me. I didn't like it there so I growled and tried to bite everyone. My foster mama came and rescued me, again.

So, now she puts me on this tie out line. I'm not happy but at least I'm not sneaking out and going for walks alone. I'm safe and happy in my foster mama's home. I snuggle on her lap, I snuggle in the big blanket in my crate, and I snuggle under the covers in her bed. I'll growl to protect my food or rawhide from the other dogs but mostly I get along with them.

I need a forever home with a WOODEN privacy fence or a secure doggie tie out because I'm so sneaky about getting out of chain link fences. I can't help that I love to explore!! But take me on walks and I'm one big (little) happy doggie!!!

I'm HOHO
Shih Tzuother title

Meet HoHo!

HoHo came to us barely alive. You see, he was so neglected and dumped at a shelter he had lost the will to live. When he arrived he could barely see because his face was all matted up. He was so weak he could hardly walk, he would fall over after only taking two steps. And he smelled so bad!

After a long, warm, soapy bath and rubbed dry with a thick soft towel, HoHo slept on my lap for almost three hours straight! Probably the most sleep he'd gotten since arriving at the shelter a few weeks prior.

We fed HoHo lots of food and treats, helped him go outside, let him sleep in bed with us, and soon he started to perk up! We took him to the vet for a checkup and he was just too weak and thin to undergo neuter surgery. We put him on some medication for eye/ear infections and gave him his shots and worming meds.

After just a couple weeks HoHo started running around the house, running up and down the stairs, and started to enjoy life again! HoHo is a SWEET little dog but he is a bit older, around 8 or 9, but his teeth are pearly white!

HoHo is completely housebroken, is ok in a crate after taking a few moments to settle down, and is fine with other dogs and cats. HoHo will make a wonderful companion for any family!

HoHo is being fostered in Euclid, Ohio.

ADOPTED!!!

I'm DOC
Mini Poodle

Doc is a very sweet dog that needs someone to love him. He was rescued from a puppymill along with Annie and he had never been out of a cage.

Doc has had lots of firsts. He has learned to go up and down steps, what grass and dirt feels like, what it is like to go to the groomer and how to play and socialize with other dogs. He is good with other dogs and will play ball with you.

He is potty trained with a rare accident. He is afraid of a cage and does not do well when put into one. He sleeps with his foster parents on their bed with his foster brothers and sisters.

He will need a quiet house and does better with women then men.

Doc is being fostered in Newton Falls, Ohio.

I'm Titan
Chihuahua/Rat Terrier

ADOPTED!!!

Hi, my name is Titan, and I love to cuddle and cuddle and cuddle. It doesn't matter if it's a human or a dog or a cat. I especially like kids as you can see by my picture.

I am totally housebroken and I will sleep in a crate if I have to. I would prefer sleeping in bed with you.

Right now I'm with this really cool family with two doggie siblings and three human little brothers! They all love me. My foster mom stays home all day so I get lots of attention.

I really hope to get a forever home just like my foster home! I've been waiting patiently since August of 2014. Will you be my next forever home?

Titan is being fostered in Mentor on the Lake, OH

I'm REBA
Jack Russell mix

Meet Reba! She is a fun loving dog that has tons of energy and would love someone that can take her for long walks or go for hikes in the woods. She will need to be kept on a leash or in a fenced yard as we have noticed she is VERY interested in cars and will chase after them. She will need someone that is patient since she is usually shy at first. Once she warms up to you though she will be friends for life.

Reba has learned to  go potty outside now and is walking much better on the leash. She is a talkative dog and will tell you what she thinks, so an apartment with close neighbors may not be the best place for her. She likes to be carried around but does not like to sit still on your lap for very long.

She gets along well with other dogs and is fine around cats. Reba loves to cuddle on your lap and will even help you type at the computer!

Reba weighs only 14 Pounds and is the perfect snuggle size!

Reba is being fostered in South Euclid, OH

I'm Penny
Miniature Pinscher

Meet Penny! She was abandoned in a garage along with two other miniature pinschers all left to fend for themselves. When we heard about this we just knew we had to save everyone!

Penny is a super sweet little girl who loves other dogs, loves people, is housebroken, and loves to snuggle. She has long legs and can jump really high! Penny is being fostered with big dogs so they don't scare her. She also has a little chihuahua as a foster sibling that she likes to snuggle with.

Penny would love to have her very own forever home, is that you?
